So, I have begun to consider moving the briliant donkey else where. I HATE to move. HATE it. The idea of packing up boxes and moving makes my stomach hurt. Actually, I am not thinking strongly about it, but a post by fringes today got me to at least wondering. If I read your blog, I probably already know which service you use. However, I have NO clue what the plusses and minuses of each one of them are. That being said, tell me in comments why you like the site you use and what if anything makes it worth the trouble of moving. I am all ears, and more than a little open minded. I know one thing some sites have(and maybe blogger does too but I am just too dumb to know it), that I like is the ability to type something and cross it out(yet leave it there) and replace it with something else. I see Alynda do this all the time. It makes me a bit jealous, but that alone isn't worth the move. So what else is there? My name is NOT Frazier crane, but I AM listening.

If you register Brilliant donkey as a dot com you can then have it forwarded to any formatt you like....then if you get sick of it...you just change you forwarding detail and click.....you are in another fomat....of course you have to set up a blog there first...
save telling everybody...
At the moment I like blogger
Maybe its just your template that sux :)
WordPress for a multitude of reasons:
1. Strikeout feature you mentioned
2. Easy user interface
3. Good looking templates
4. Strong built-in spam filter
5. Free!
That's my top five. Set on up, mark it private and play around with it to see if you like and want to keep.
If you're typing in html with blogger the html code for strikeout is < strike >word< /strike > (without the spaces). I've considered moving to WordPress, but last I saw they can't import blogs from the new Blogger. And I don't want to lose everything.
Maybe I'll just copy and paste.
For now, the 'chick is staying at Blogger - mainly for laziness. Partly for the "dance with the one that brung ya" mentality. Mostly laziness though.
She's got enough HTML to make it do just about anything she wants it to.
I'm never moving. Unless Blogger evicts me.
I was just gonna say that there are lots more things you can do in blogger if you knew basic html. You don't need to complicate your life and move to do that. When you write up a post, you can switch to html mode and work on that mode if you like. And thanks iheartastros for showing us the code for strike out! I don't know much about the other sites, but blogger must be doing something good if 95% of the sites I read use blogger.
Briliant, I have to agree with Bice: WordPress is a technically better service.
That being said, I'm with Roadchick and Mist1. I ain't leaving Blogger from a combo of laziness, and "the one that brung ya" mentality.
I like Blogger 'cause it's easy to use. It crashes a little more often than I'd like. But as for the comments, you know what? You get the crazy comments every now and then. I did battle with a looney commenter for a while. He wanted to dominate my blog and say really mean-spirited things to other commenters. Then I tricked him into going away by turning on comment moderation for a few weeks. He got discouraged 'cause I blocked all his comments. And he slinked away. I haven't gotten a comment from him since.
I don't plan on leaving blogger because I don't need any unneccesary aggravation. Blogger works fine for me. I really haven't been too displaced by outages or anything.
blogger tempelates are nice first of all, you can download templates by searching from google...there is lot of cool shit out there!
and yeah the new blogger definately makes it an ease to play around with the design even if you know crap about html.
stay with blogger :)

In the spirit of football season.....
Upon further review, I think I will stay here at least for now. I haven't really had much problem with blogger other than last week it was iffy a few times, but like I said, fringes post made me wonder if there was something better that I just didn't know about.
Laziness- demands I stay.Moving it seems like a lot of work
Ignorance-demands I stay, specially since this one is pretty easy to use, and fairly dummy proof.
Maybe in the future when I know more about how to do stuff I will consider it, but for now here I am .
Thanks for the responses all.

laziness and ignorance always when in a blogging street fight.
