First on an administrative note. I am going to try something a bit different from now on. The scoring will be the same. However, each week I will just update THIS post instead of creating another entire one. Please continue to put your picks in the comments of this post until the end of the season. That said. If you haven't watched the show(and plan to later) stop reading now or else I will give it away.
In week 7, the bottom 3 were Sanjaya,Blake, and Lakisha. Sanjaya finally freakin managed to sing bad enough to get even HIM sent home. Now the show seems like it will be legitimate again. Better late than never. Pretty much everyone correctly predicted this. How many other than ME did so because they figured if they kept picking him they HAD to be right eventually I do not know. High score for the week was put up by yours truly (thanks mostly to the Ultimate Idol points). At the same time(again due mostly to the Ultimate Idol points), I have moved into the overall lead at least temporarily.

swf, the entire season has been boring! This is the lousiest season of AI ever, I don;t find myself rushing home to catch it like I always used to do in the past. It's one big YAWN! :( Hopefully, the next seasons pick up once again.

I think America is sick of the votefortheworst keeping the less talented in the game so long too...I personally think they need to limit/change the voting procedure. Sabrina being voted off so early is proof that the whole process needs a revamp.

SWF: I couldn't agree more. This is only my second season watching and I have to say I am pretty bored. Had I not started this contest I probably wouldn't even be watching to be honest. That said, at least 3 of them can REALLY sing.

Just finished watching on tivo. As soon as he said 'it will shock you' I had a feeling something was up. That SUCKED. I GET it but it still sucked. Okay this week no points for anyone. In the words of scooby doo,,,,,rut roh raggy! My ultimate Idol may be going home this week. Clearly one of the worst for her so far to me at least. The judges raved about Blake but frankly I thought he sucked. The beat bop parts and the parts he changed surpisingly worked for me but the actual song parts sounded like shit. Maybe that was just me though apparently.

Sorry for not updating the scores in quite some time. Most of the picks have been the same so not much has changed. I will do it after this weeks results come out tomorrow. I am also considering doing another scoring(back dated) to change the ultimate idol points from the way they are now to 100 points x the number of weeks for that pick as opposed to doubling the points each week which to me seems to be a bit excessive even if it is benefitting me.
On another note: As requested I DID make this post easier to find(better late than almost never). I have added it under the "favorite posts" section of my sidebar.

wow is pretty much all I can say. Not sure the best one didnt just get sent home. Definitely one of the top two in my mind. I'm still heartbroken over MindyDoo being sent home.
So -- I'm voting for Blake to win it all. Jordin's little-girl-cutesy gets on my nerves.

No reason to change now so I will stick with Jordin. As for last night's show my take on it.
Round 1: I still say Blake butchers the Bon jovi song. GREAT beat boxing parts(even though that really isn't my thing).His singing of the normal parts though? To me he kills it. Then again to be fair I appear to be well in the minority. With that in mind I will give Round 1 to Blake.
Round 2: Was pretty Even to me but I would give a slight edge to Jordin.
Round 3: Hands down went to Jordin by leaps and bounds. In fairness, it was a song that fit her totally, and a HORRIBLE song 'fit wise' for Blake.
